Processing a U.S. Visa in India Expected to Become More Efficient
Giselle Carson Oct 1, 2012 in Immigration Team News
As a result of the DOS’ Global support Strategy program, the U.S. Embassy in India has implemented a new online processing system which is expected to streamline appointment scheduling, simplify fee payments and provide new delivery options. The program includes a new website which is available in English and Hindi and permits U.S. visa applicants to complete application forms, review instructions, pay visa application fees, schedule an appointment for biometrics (fingerprint) collection, and schedule an interview at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate in India. Applicants will still be able to schedule appointments using the existing call center. Applicants will also be able to pay application fees using their mobile phones or with cash at several banks in India. To view the new website, follow this link. www.ustraveldocs.com/in
