Obama’s focus on high-priority removal cases not amnesty

The Obama administration announced its plans to focus on the removal of high-priority cases such as convicted felons, known gang members and those with egregious immigration violations. The Administration has noted that while the focus will be on deporting high-risk individuals, the policy does not grant amnesty to others. Specific consideration will be considered for veterans, minors and the elderly, pregnant women, those with serious health conditions, among others. Read the new policy memo here for more info.
