Marks Gray was proud to support business litigator Michael Freed’s recent fundraising efforts for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid (JALA).
Freed ran from Tallahassee to Jacksonville – 6 Marathons in 6 Days – to raise money and bring awareness to the need for legal aid for low-income individuals.
The sequence of marathons started at the Florida Supreme Courthouse in Tallahassee on May 28th and ended with an event titled “The Finish Line – Celebrating Pro Bono Attorneys” from Baker County Courthouse, Macclenny to the Duval County Courthouse on Friday, June 2nd.
Giselle Carson ran the last 26.2 miles with Michael Freed. The Jacksonville Bar Association (JBA) organized a welcome party at the finish line at the Duval County Courthouse.
The event raised $60,218.70 for JALA, which provides pro bono legal services to 17 counties. Congratulations to all involved!
