Employment-Based Green Card for Physical Therapist

We regularly help clients in petitioning for permanent resident status (“green card”) for their employees with specialized knowledge and advanced degrees. This month, we are highlighting the success story of a Doctor of Physical Therapy who was able to obtain a green card.

Previously, we worked to prepare H-1B petitions for him on behalf of his employer. We were very happy to learn that his employer, a highly successful sports organization, decided to petition for an employment-based green card for him so that he could stay on a permanent basis in the United States.

Mr. S is a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Japan with many years of experience as a Physiotherapist and Athletic Trainer. He provides highly specialized on and off-the-court evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation for top athletes; and travels extensively with the players to the different tournaments.

We utilized the EB-2, Schedule A option for Physical Therapists to file his I-140 Petition and PERM Labor Certification and strategized with him and his employer on supporting documentation.

The accurate documentation, up-to-date knowledge of USCIS’ requirements, and thorough preparation led to a great result: USCIS approved his immigrant petition!
