Giselle Carson named to Board of Jacksonville Sports Council

This past May Mayor Alvin Brown announced the formation of the Jacksonville Sports Council. The council is made up of a public-private partnership among the City of Jacksonville, Gator Bowl Sports and the JAX Chamber that will work together to showcase the Northeast Florida region as a sports destination for professional, amateur and youth sports. As Vice Chair of Governmental Affairs, shareholder Giselle Carson has been appointed to the Board of this extraordinary organization. Ms. Carson will work with other Board members to ensure that Northeast Florida is in the forefront of using sports events for tourism and economic development. The first inaugural luncheon will be held on August 21, will feature ESPN college football analyst, Kirk Herbstreit.
