Edward L. Birk attends Forum on Communications Law
Marks Gray P.A. Feb 8, 2019 in News

Florida News Media & First Amendment attorney Ed Birk served as a faculty member during the 2019 Media Advocacy Workshop at the American Bar Association’s annual Forum on Communications Law in Miami Beach. The workshop provides an opportunity for law students and young media attorneys to hone their skills advocating legal interests associated with free speech and a free press, both of which are fundamental rights in our Constitution. Twenty students participated in the advocacy workshop and received direct feedback from judges who are long-standing media attorneys. This year’s forum, titled Has the Sun Set on a Free and Independent Press explored leading-edge legal issues facing media and communications lawyers. Click here to read Mr. Birk’s Media Law Blog
