Changes to USCIS Website to Enhance User Experience

by | Aug 10, 2010 | Immigration News

USCIS has announced redesigns to its website to enhance customer service and expand users’ access to case information.

The improvements were made from feedback received from internal and external stakeholders.  The most significant improvement is the addition of features for Spanish speaking customers, including a Spanish translation of the website, USCIS.gov/espanol

Other enhancements include:

  • The creation of an online inquiry tool for select forms which enables users to request status updates on their applications.  USCIS has expressed a commitment to replying to these inquiries within 15 days of receipt.
  • Email updates and case status notifications are now available in Spanish.  Customers can also change their address online in English and in Spanish.
  • Customers are able to view the process steps specific to 40 different application/form types when viewing their case status online.  This replaces the uniform process steps previously published for all forms.
