President Trump started 2018 with a tweet saying “Democrats are doing nothing for DACA… We are about RESULTS”.

And Marks Gray immigration attorney Giselle Carson, JALA Director of the Refugee Immigration Project Mariana Munoz, and former DACA student “Maria” started their 2018 speaking with Melissa Ross on WJCT’s First Coast Connect on January 2 about the DACA program.

The DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) is a program that protected young undocumented immigrants who came to the United States as children. They discussed the expected congressional showdown about DACA, the detrimental effects of not fixing the program, and the need for immigration reform.
