Need an InfoPass Appointment? Be Aware of These Changes

by | Feb 27, 2018 | Immigration, Immigration News

As part of a new pilot program, the Jacksonville USCIS field office is anticipated to roll out a new scheduling process for InfoPass appointments. Once implemented, scheduling will be coordinated by the USCIS National Customer Service Center.

This new program is set up to avoid the use of InfoPass appointments for routine inquiries that could be resolved by the Customer Service Hotline.

USCIS plans to implement this new pilot program at five local field offices: El Paso, TX; Hartford, CT; Jacksonville, FL; Sacramento, CA; and San Francisco, CA.

Jacksonville is expected to join the pilot program on April 16, 2018. Two weeks prior to the start date, the InfoPass scheduler will no longer be available to self-schedule appointments online.

Once the new pilot program is implemented, to schedule an InfoPass appointment at one of the above field offices, the applicant will first need to call the NCSC at 1-800-375-5283, speak to a Tier 1 officer, and request an InfoPass appointment.

The call will then be escalated to a Tier 2 USCIS representative who will confirm the issue is appropriate for InfoPass and then schedule the appointment.
