Heath L. Vickers concentrates his practice on civil trial defense in the areas of government liability, retail and premises liability, and employment and labor law. Mr. Vickers also practices in the areas of trucking and transportation and medical liability.  He is currently a member of the Florida Bar, the Bar Association of Jacksonville, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association and the Jacksonville Association Defense Counsel.

Mr. Vickers received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2010.  In 2006, Mr. Vickers graduated magna cum laude from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. 

While in law school, Mr. Vickers was actively involved with the mock trial team.  He competed in the 2008 Georgetown Law National White Collar Crime Competition in Washington, D.C.; 2009 National Trial Competition Regional in Tallahassee, Florida; 2009 Georgetown Law National White Collar Crime Competition in Washington, D.C.; and 2010 National Trial Competition Regional in Jackson, Mississippi.  His team went to the semifinals in three out of four of the above-referenced competitions. Mr. Vickers was awarded the “Exceptional Advocate Award” at the 2009 Georgetown Law National White Collar Crime Competition.  Furthermore, in 2009, Mr. Vickers won the inaugural Spohrer & Dodd Trial Advocacy Scholarship Competition, which was held at Florida Coastal School of Law.

Mr. Vickers currently serves as a volunteer with the Ronald McDonald House of Charities of Jacksonville. Mr. Vickers clerked for Marks Gray in the summer of 2009 and also interned with the United States Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Florida, Jacksonville, in the spring of 2010.
