Dion K. Bass practices in the areas of civil litigation, employment and labor law, municipal liability, and insurance defense.
Dion received his Bachelor of Science degree from Troy University and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. During law school, Dion served as President of the UF Law Trial Team, the Community Service Chair for the W. George Allen Chapter of the Black Law Student’s Association, a Teaching Assistant for trial advocacy courses, a member of both the Student Ambassador and Recruitment Teams, and as one of two Student Advisors to the College of Law’s Faculty Appointment Committee. Distinguishing himself in the area of trial advocacy, Dion was named “Best Advocate” for the Class of 2017. He won Book Awards for Trial Practice and Trial Team, and was selected as one of the UF Law Trial Team’s Distinguished Graduates. Upon graduation, he was an inaugural recipient of the Dean’s Leadership Award.
Prior to attending law school, Dion served in the United States Air Force as an aerospace maintenance apprentice. Following his time in uniform, he had the honor to serve military members and their families as a Youth Development and Family Services Specialist with the Department of the Air Force.
He is currently a member of the Florida Bar, the Jacksonville Bar Association and admitted to the Middle District of Florida.
