William Corley has focused his practice in civil litigation specializing in drugs and medical devices, mass tort litigation, products liability, medical malpractice, and automobile personal injury. His clients include Medtronic, Inc., Baxter Healthcare, Dow Corning and Sofamor Danek.
Mr. Corley graduated from Western Maryland College in 1974 (B.A. Cum Laude) and Stetson University (J.D. with honors). He was the Articles and Notes Editor for the Stetson Law Review, (1980-81). Mr. Corley served in the U.S. Army, Field Artillery, as Captain from 1974 to 1979 (Airborne Ranger). He served in the U.S. Army Reserve, Military Intelligence from 1982 to 1999 (Lt Col.).
Mr. Corley has practiced law with Marks Gray since 1982. He is a member of the Products Liability Advisory Council and is a member of the Defense Research Institute where he serves on the Medical Drug & Device Committee. He is a member of The Florida Bar where he has served as Chair of the Code and Rules of Evidence Committee. He is also a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association and Florida Defense Lawyers Association.
Mr. Corley is a frequent lecturer on medical drug and device mass tort litigation throughout the country, including Mealey's Seminars, Medmark/Nelcor Puritain Bennett Medical Drug and Device Seminars, ACI Drug and Medical Device Seminars, and ACI Conferences. Mr. Corley was named to the 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 Super Lawyers list. Only 5% of the lawyers in Florida earn the Super Lawyers honor.
Mr. Corley is involved in various activities in our community. He is a member of Leadership Jacksonville and Beach United Methodist Church.
